In the past many US guys fought in Europe vs. local or European Champions for WKF titles, in K-1 style as well as in Muay Thai!

With less success, because very often their fighter profile was incorrect.

Just Heavyweight Mike SHEPPARD from Palestine beat the Russian Champion in Moscow by KO! Mike fought also in Australia for the IKF  heavy weight World title and beat Australian Robert WILESMITH badly by Knock-out!

In the world outside USA real pro have 50 and more ring sport amateur fights, before the move on to real professional ring sport.

NO fighter with e.g. just 10 fights get a chance to fight for WKF pro titles, and NO old guy with 35 Years plus. This is outside USA impossible.

Please note – e.g.Russian Champions start as juniors and when they became 20 Years old, they can have more than 100 (!) fights. Real international fights in ring sport, we are not talking about tatami point fighting!

AND – WKF- World Kickboxing Federation – is a world wide sanctioning body on 6 continents in more than 140 countries.

Not a private promoter company, select or decide who and where, which champions fight for their XYZ company titles !

AND – US federal state vs. US federal state World title in any federation – has absolute NO VALUE outside USA !

The new promoter in Latin America, in this case in PERU, the capital of the INCA empire, is Héctor Rafael Pérez, who came to WKF on the recommendation of the promoter from Colombia Luis Mediomundo. In this way, WKF is getting strong in LATIN AMERICA and adding more countries in the region, all of which are willing to work.

We keep growing, with a new promoter in Bogotá Colombia WKF adds more presence in Latin American countries.

Héctor Gómez will work with 14 associated clubs for the growth of the WKF in the region.

You are already working as a team with Mr. Luis Mediomundo, also WKF promoter in Colombia, on the implementation of the regional championships and the national championship, which will be held in the country for the first time, in order to receive a COLOMBIAN SELECTION with prospects for the Pan American 2023 and the World Championships 2024 in France.

Today we are present in all Latin American countries …

in South America with strong work in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina. In addition, Mexico and El Salvador are already putting their calendars together and we will be adding more countries in Central America shortly.

Two new WKF events in Guatemala and Mexico!

GUATEMALA: The event will be on December 10 and 11 for amateur kick boxing and MMA there will be 4 kick fights and 4 MMA fights the event will be in Retalhuleu, Guatemala 2 belts will be given, 1 kick boxing at 150 lbs and another in MMA of 170 lbs, amateur fighters will arrive from 7 departments of the country. On December 10 will be the weigh-in of the fighters and on December 11 the fights.

MEXICO: The event organized by PROMOTER Luis Barcelata in the town of Guajanto Mexico will be a Muaythai gala at Hostel Cactus on December 18. The presence of competitors from the region is expected and will be the previous one to the Mexican league of Muaythai and k1 scheduled for 2022.

GUATEMALA: El evento será el 10 y 11 de diciembre amateurs de kick boxing y MMA habrá 4 peleas de kick y 4 peleas de MMA el evento será en Retalhuleu, Guatemala se darán 2 cinturones 1 de kick boxing en las 150 lbs y otro en MMA de 170 lbs, llegarán peleadores amateurs de 7 departamentos del país. El día 10 de diciembre será el pesaje de los peleadores y en día 11 de diciembre las peleas

MEXICO: El evento organizado por el PROMOTOR Luis Barcelata en la localidad de Guajanto México será una gala de Muaythai en el Hostel Cactus el proximo 18 de diciembre. Se espera la presencia de competidores de la región y será la previa a la liga mexicana de Muaythai y k1 prevista para el 2022.

Official Meeting of LATIN AMERICAN LEADERS of the World Kickboxing Federation-WKF

On Saturday 11/27 at 9:00 p.m. in Argentina, the first meeting of LIDERES de América Latina de WKF was held. In this meeting, different topics related to the growth of Latin sport and the work objectives from Regional and National championships to the Pan American 2023 and the World Cup in France 2024 were discussed.

The division of Latin America into 3 regions was determined to promote international crossings of Competitors and in this way reduce the distances and make the competitors have an international friction more than important.

The topic of training of work teams in terms of arbitration and supervision at the Latino level, national and international certifications and the preparation of the calendar of each country in the next meeting was also discussed.

The SUCCESS of it was ROTUNDO because all the countries participated and I want to thank them for their commitment and enthusiasm for the teamwork to be carried out.

El sábado 27/11 a las 21:00 hs de Argentina se realizó la primera reunión de LIDERES de América Latina de WKF.

En Dicha reunión se trataron diferentes temas relacionados al crecimiento del deporte Latino y los objetivos de trabajo desde campeonatos Regionales, Nacionales hasta el  Panamericano 2023 y el  Mundial de Francia 2024

Se determino la división de América Latina en 3 regiones para fomentar los cruces internacionales de Competidores y de esta forma achicar las distancias y hacer que los competidores tengan un roce internacional más que importante.

También se trató el tema de Capacitaciones de equipos de trabajo en cuanto a Juzgamiento arbitraje y supervisión a nivel Latino, Certificaciones nacionales e Internacionales y la preparación del calendario de cada país en la próxima reunión.

El ÉXITO de la misma fue ROTUNDO pues todos los países participaron y quiero agradecerles su compromiso y entusiasmo por el trabajo en equipo a realizar.

Uganda Superstar Patricia APOLOT is perhaps most famous and successfully female fighter on the African continent.

Apolot is multiple World Champion and hold many other titles.

From all the African female Ladies is she the one who fought most in Europe and Asia.

This amazing female World title is confirmed in Lowkick in Superlightweight – 62,3 Kg / – 137 lbs.

Her opponent comes from Argentina and has the same status in Latin America.

Andrea SALAZAR from Argentina was highly recommended to us by the director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Mr. Carlos SUAREZ. 

Salazar is today on pos. five in the WKF pro World ranking, and many so called female ” World Champions” avoid to fight her.

Now both teams in Uganda and Argentina has agreed the conditions, WKF head office has this World title confirmed long time, now in Cairo on the end of the World Championship is the showdown.

La superestrella de Uganda, Patricia APOLOT, es quizás la luchadora más famosa y exitosa del continente africano.

Apolot es campeón mundial múltiple y tiene muchos otros títulos.

De todas las damas africanas, es ella la que más peleó en Europa y Asia.

Este increíble título mundial femenino se confirma en Lowkick en Superligero – 62,3 Kg / – 137 lbs.

Su oponente viene de Argentina y tiene el mismo estatus en Latinoamérica.

Andrea SALAZAR de Argentina fue altamente recomendada por el director para América Latina y el Caribe, Sr. Carlos SUAREZ.
