On December 5, Caged Dragon Promotions hosted their third annual Seasons Beating kickboxing card. Held in Brantford, Ontario at the Quality Inn Ballroom, the sold out crowd witnessed a card featured 10 Muay Thai and K1 amateur kickboxing fights.

In the first fight of the evening, Andrew Loney of Muay Thai Fitness took on Cory Turnbridge of Redemption Muay Thai. After three round of action, Loney took away the victory with a split decision.

In the second bout of the evening, Terri McLauglin of 5th Round too on Suzanne Carte of Toronto Kickboxing and Muay Thai. After a three round of hard fighting, Suzanne Carte took away the unanimous victory.

The third fight of the evening say Cole MacInnus of Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts take on Steve Bustamante of TKO. In a fight that saw MacInnus effectively use his reach, but also Bustamante successfully close the distance, we saw MacInnus take a unanimous decision.

The fourth fight of the night saw Zhao Churchill of Caged Dragon take on Marques Scarfone of MAS Thaiboxing. The crown witnessed a spirited fight between the two young warriors with great futures in the sport. It was Zhao Churchill’s night and how won the fight on a majority decision.

The fifth fight of the evening saw Farzad Askari of TKO take on Adam DeFreites of Evolution Martial Arts Fitness Academy. Three rounds of action saw Adam DeFreites take a unanimous decision

The sixth fight of the evening was also the Co-Main Event of the evening. Alex Rozicki of Caged Dragon took on Yuki Yamanaka of Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts in a five round battle for the WKF Ontario 155 pound Muay Thai title. Both fighters fought their hearts out and displayed a prime example of high level amateur Muay Thai. An emotionally charged Alex Rozicki won a split decision to retain his title.

After a brief intermission, the seventh fight featured Thomas Raby of Caged Dragon against Adam Elfhal of LFS for the first of two Season’s Beatings event titles. A close battle between two young warriors saw Thomas Raby come away with the unanimous decision.

The eighth fight of the evening say Lars Mueller of Evolution Martial Arts Fitness Academy take on Devan Gerard of Kawai Muay Thai. Lars Mueller came away with the unanimous decision after three rounds.

The ninth fight of the evening was for the for the second Seasons Beatings event title. This fight featured Robin Macmillan of Toronto Kickboxing and Muay Thai fighting Taylor McLatchie of Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts. A spirited fight saw McLatchie take the title in an unanimous decision after three rounds using both her effective clinch and also precise head kicks.

The main event of the evening took place between Kerry Marine of Toronto BJJ take on Mitch Fowler of Darkside Muay Thai. The fight was a five round affair for the Ontario WKF K1 178 pound title. Another stellar example of high level amateur kickboxing, saw Mitch Fowler survive an early scare to implement an excellent fight strategy to take the fight by unanimous decision.
